No. The library does not charge fines for overdue books. You will only be charged if a book becomes so overdue (about 30 days overdue) that it is considered “Lost” by the system. Or if an item is returned damaged. Instead of paying a fine, if you would like to make up for lateness, please consider making a donation of a canned good for the food pantry or a donation to the Friends of the Library.
Simply use this form. If we cannot purchase it for the collection, we can probably get it form another library for you. Thank you for the suggestion!
Because of a lack of space, the library currently only takes donations in the Spring and Summer, with the exception of extremely popular hardcover books in excellent condition. (These will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis). On Old Homes Day Weekend in July, the Friends of the Library hold their annual booksale.
