
Join us for a delightful journey into the French language with our “French For Fun” program! Co-led by Library Director Inga Dellea (who studied French and education at Keene State College) and library trustee Emily Winterbottom, an experienced French teacher originally from Rwanda, this engaging series will introduce children to basic French through interactive activities, games, cultural exploration, and authentic French snacks each week.
Program Schedule:
- Mondays: June 23, June 30, July 7 at 3:00 PM
- Final Session: Thursday, July 17 at 3:00 PM
Weekly Themes & Treats:
- Week 1 (June 23): Moi – All about me! Learn to introduce yourself, colors, and basic expressions while enjoying French treats
- Week 2 (June 30): L’école – School vocabulary, classroom items, and educational fun with French snacks
- Week 3 (July 7): La Famille – Family members, relationships, and describing people during traditional French goûter time
- Week 4 (July 17): Les Vacances – Summer vacation words, activities, and celebration with homemade crêpes!
